Ground Deer Day!

Punxsutawney, MS> February 2 is Ground Deer Day at the Christmas Place Lost Deer Ranch.

Hershel Howell will be up on Rattleers Knob hand-feeding
the pesky rodents as the sun comes up and the ceremony begins
with great fanfare and the rattling of giant deer antlers.

Each year on February 2, the Trophy Bucks come out of their deer holes.
They look around and if they see Blaze Orange they disappear into the ground for another 6 weeks.

Hey! It looks like an early spring, as the members of the club are either all out drunk or at home griping and complaining that there are no big bucks left on the property.

Sometimes I think your right about the deer hiding in holescause I 've track a big monster buck that I shot one day right up to a hole before I lost him. As for the blaze orange do as I do and get in your tree 1 1/2 hours before daylight and you won't have that problem and you can watch the non-hunters come into the woods running the deer right to you for the picking of your choice
