Ground Deer Day

February 2nd is Ground Deer day in the Mississippi delta and especially at the famous Christmas Place. Dad was up on Rattlers' Knob with Thunderhoof early that morning with a bucket of feed for those loathsome big bucks as they emerged from their holes now that deer season is over. You know I am just about tired of him coddling and babying those varmints like they were his Evil sons. Yes both Paul and Trent. So another deer season has passed and Thunderhoof is still wandering around taking it easy without a care in the world. Soon it will be time to look for sheds and if I find one of Thunderhoofs this year I am going to carve a motorcycle out of it. See you soon for the hog hunt!
