I too was sorry to hear about Fess Parker's passing away. My kids and I only started watching that show after I read about it on your blog, but we loved it when we rented it from Blockbuster.
The news report I heard about Parker's death indicated that he also played Davey Crockett??

true, Disney made him quit playing both.
Wow, I've been out of touch down here in Texas the past week or so.
Dang shame, but it's an end that's waiting for all of us I guess.
Kinda makes me realize how long ago childhood was. Ack.
