Youth Turkey Hunt Success

Gobblerville, MS> Spencer and I went after a turkey Saturday morning and we did not see, hear, smell or even imagine a turkey the whole time. Of course we were interrupted when a loud BOOM! rolled over us from the Double White Oak Stand.
It just goes to show that if there is any killing to be done, Paul Howell is going to be in the middle of it.
Paul and Michael set up at before day, Paul hit his call and turkeys answered immediately. This big gobbler came strutting in and it was all over when Michael pulled the trigger. The beard on this one was over 10 inches. Congratulations on a magnificent bird!

wow...that is a nice bird! Congrats. I'm from Missouri and our season starts the 3rd Monday in April. I spend a lot of time on the water and hearing the toms gobble while i'm heading down a bank is awesome. Can't wait for my first "sick day" of 2010! Opening DAY!!!
