Getting Ready

Hickory Smoke, MS> The shed antler hunting did not go very well, but I did locate some very good big buck sign that has me fired up for next year. Dad and I found some fresh turkey sign at the Spike Camp field and set up a blind for turkey season.
The weather was cool, but beautiful. I sat up late with Dad and talked in front of the fire that night and it was a really nice weekend.
While I was scouting for deer, hogs and antlers; Dad and Paul Jones worked on his super duper hog cooker. This thing is huge and opens in 3 or 4 different directions.
The members over here can't kill a deer much less a hog, so send some spare change so I can buy Phillip a ticket to come here and blast them. We also need to buy GuyK a ticket so he can come up here and eat 'em. Hell, we need to buy Moose a ticket to come here and cook them. Sooner or later there is going to be a hog feast here!

we'll see, once you eat some of that Mississippi BBQ, you will choke on anything else!

There is nothing like a good old fashioned hog barbeque.

Sounds like you had a good weekend. Scouting for spring turkey and deer for next fall is a fun way to spend the weekend.

H.H. has that determined Indian look on his face...he means business no doubt about it...there will be some smoked porcine delight and soon! Try a little Williamson Bros. BBQ sauce with the porkers...a cold beer and some fresh store bought loaf bread...that's shang-grill-a.
