Funny you should post that phony article. When my oldest son was about 7 or 8 I took him to the deer woods with me. We were walking down a trail that had thickets on both sides. 2 or 3 yearlings started blowing at us. They couldn't see us clearly so I decided to blow back at them. This went on for over 5 minutes before we decided to proceed to our picked hunting area. Only then did they scatter.
