Fun Filled Camp Blogging

Narnia, MS> Relaxed, fun but very hot is the description of this past weekend. Friday afternoon Dad cooked steaks for us and it was quite a relaxing evening. The next day, Bob and Marion came over and we rode all over the property. We crossed the Beaverdam and went into the beautiful lost 40.
I showed them a strange cut across the land that I can not figure out.
We talked and ate, talked and drank. We had boiled crabs, crawfish and all the trimmings. Then we went exploring some more. We even got out on the lake.
Marian left about 10 but we got plenty of pics to post for awhile and we spent a lot of time talking about the Outdoor Bloggers Summit and what the poor people were eating that night.
Denise was a real trooper and drove that Gator all over th place. She really enjoyed seeing the big woods and the Indian Mound hidden there.
We played golf Saturday, I started hot and then caught the duck hooks. Amazingly, I managed to win all the money from Dad and Paul (losers). All in all another great weekend. Here are some pics to enjoy.

Paul almost managed to burn down the camp with an enormous bonfire!

Looks like you have had a great weekend. So had we, it was Canada Day long weekend, you can read about our wilderness trip on my blog.

Could that mysterious cut be some sort of trench/bunker placement from the civil war?

I don't think so. It winds for about a mile across the property. Up hill and down, It is either an old horse trail for early settlers, an ancient buffalo path or some Indian trail. I want to explore it with a metal detector this summer.
